The Peking Cotoneaster is a hardy, fast-growing deciduous shrub valued for its dense form, glossy foliage, and brilliant seasonal color. Adaptable and drought-tolerant, it thrives in a variety of soil types and growing conditions, making it an excellent choice for shelterbelts, hedges, erosion control, and wildlife plantings.

In spring, the Peking Cotoneaster produces clusters of small pinkish-white flowers that attract pollinators. Through summer, the shrub forms a thick, green hedge with oval, dark green leaves. By fall, its foliage turns vibrant shades of red and orange, accompanied by bright red berries that persist into winter, adding color and providing food for birds. Low-maintenance and durable, this versatile shrub performs beautifully in both urban and rural landscapes.
