About the Karl Foerster Feather Reed Grass

Karl Foerster Feather Reed Grass is one of the most reliable ornamental grasses for the prairies. It forms a tidy, upright clump of green foliage topped by feathery plumes in early summer that ripen to a golden wheat colour and stand tall through winter.

This clump-forming grass does not spread, is drought tolerant once established and needs only a trim in early spring. Plant it in groups or rows for a striking vertical accent in beds, along driveways or in front of a shelterbelt.
