About the Dwarf Blue Arctic Willow
The Dwarf Blue Arctic Willow is a popular hedge shrub with fine-textured, blue-green leaves on slender purple stems. It responds well to shearing, making it one of the best choices for a soft, formal low hedge on the prairies.
Left unpruned it forms a graceful rounded mound; trimmed, it makes a dense, tidy hedge. The purple twigs add colour in winter. It grows well in moist to average soils and tolerates wet spots where other hedge shrubs struggle.
