About the Boreal Beauty Haskap
The Boreal Beauty Haskap (also known as Honeyberry) is a late-season variety from the University of Saskatchewan haskap program. It produces large, firm, flavourful berries on an upright, vigorous bush, and it is extremely cold-hardy, making it a great fit for prairie yards and fruit plantings.
Haskaps need a compatible partner that flowers at the same time. Boreal Beauty blooms late, so it is the ideal pollinator for Boreal Beast (and Boreal Blizzard). Plant at least one of each for good yields. The berries ripen from mid to late July and are excellent fresh, frozen, in jams, juice and baking.
