About the Baron Boxelder
The Baron Boxelder is a seedless selection of the native Manitoba Maple. It offers all the toughness of Manitoba Maple—drought tolerance, cold hardiness and adaptability to a wide range of soils—without the heavy seed crop and volunteer seedlings.
Its attractive emerald-green compound leaves turn bright yellow in fall. A rugged, dependable shade tree for yards, acreages and shelterbelts across the prairies.
